About the role#
Novelis is looking for a Safety Engineer Intern to join our team in Davenport, Iowa. This is a 12-week, full-time, on-site internship for the summer of 2026. You will report to the EHS Leader and gain experience with OSHA and EPA regulatory compliance, incident reporting, investigations, and document control.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the implementation and administration of plant EHS and Security processes.
- Manage an EHS-related project.
- Support employee engagement activities, including the Safety Committee and training sessions.
- Organize and maintain EHS-related documentation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited 4-year university as a Junior or Senior.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work well in a team-based environment.
- Interest in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation.
- Preference is given to students majoring in Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Management, Environmental Science, or related fields.

- Additional Support: A combined housing and relocation stipend is available for out-of-state interns or those outside an extended radius for select positions.
