About the role#
Novelis is offering a 12-week internship for a Mechanical Engineering student at our facility in Uhrichsville, Ohio. This on-site role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience by supporting our engineering team. You will report to the Central EMRA Leader and participate in special projects from start to finish.
What you'll do#
- Complete assigned engineering projects, including ideation, drawing, documentation, project management, and commissioning.
- Report project progress to the engineering team.
- Investigate areas for operational improvements.
- Collaborate with full-time engineers to brainstorm and analyze potential cost-saving projects.
- Gain experience with blueprint reading, CAD, Microsoft Office, and safety walks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited 4-year university as a sophomore, junior, senior, or recent graduate.
- Current authorization to work in the United States.
- Interest in gaining hands-on industry experience before graduation.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills for interacting across the organization.
- Preference for students majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software.
- Solid business insight along with strong leadership and teamwork skills.
