About the role#
Novelis is hiring an Engineering Intern for a 12-week program during the summer of 2027. Based in Terre Haute, Indiana, this role provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. You will report to the Engineering Leader and work on projects involving equipment design, process improvement, and safety protocols.
What you'll do#
- Improve general engineering processes.
- Use CAD software to design tools and equipment and manage them through to implementation.
- Coordinate with outside contractors to scope and specify new equipment for plant operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create new safety protocols.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited 4-year university as a sophomore, junior, senior, or recent graduate.
- A major in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Genuine interest in pursuing an engineering career within a manufacturing setting.
- Solid business insight.

- This is a full-time, on-site internship located in Terre Haute, Indiana.
- The position is paid.
- A combined housing and relocation stipend is available for interns living outside the local radius.
