About the role#
Novelis is hiring an Electrical Engineering intern for our Davenport, Iowa facility. This is a 12-week, full-time, paid summer 2027 internship. You will report to the Engineering Manager and gain hands-on experience with PLCs, programmable drives, and networking.
What you'll do#
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to modify electrical equipment.
- Assist maintenance and engineering teams in diagnosing equipment problems.
- Recommend methods to prevent the reoccurrence of equipment issues.
- Draft and submit budget proposals, including recommendations for budget changes.
- Provide regular updates to management and communicate openly with peers.
- Follow all safety standards and regulations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited 4-year university as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
- A major in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Interest in gaining hands-on industry experience before graduation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current authorization to work in the United States.
