About the role#
Novelis is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team in Oswego, New York for a 10 to 12 week summer program. This is a full-time, on-site role where you will report to the Associate EMRA Leader. You will work alongside staff engineers to gain hands-on experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Learn about industrial machinery, motor controls, software programming, and PLC systems.
- Support various electrical engineering projects.
- Perform modifications to engineering drawings.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, including aluminum rolling lines, furnaces, and mobile equipment.
- Assist staff engineers with control plans, system testing, and machine commissioning.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited 4-year university as a Junior or Senior.
- A major in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Current authorization to work in the United States.
- Commitment to safe working practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A drive to learn new processes and a willingness to work as part of a team.

- Pay: Starting at $25.00 per hour.
- Benefits: Includes competitive pay and a combined housing and relocation stipend for eligible interns.
