About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based in Kansas City, Missouri. You will join our team for an 8-10 week period to gain experience in real estate and site development. You will work directly with licensed Professional Engineers on industrial, data center, multifamily, and retail projects.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineers, planners, and surveyors on project teams.
- Conceptualize site plans, including defining site grades and utility layouts.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to detail final designs.
- Prepare documents for entitlements and permitting.
- Communicate project designs to municipalities and contractors.
- Report your recommendations for new developments and property revitalization projects.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least two semesters toward a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering.
- A strong interest in site development, stormwater management, or transportation design.
- Motivation to work in a team setting to solve technical problems.
- Eagerness to master Civil 3D and stormwater modeling software.
- A preference for tackling new challenges and puzzles.
