About the role#
This internship is an 8-10 week program based in our Kansas City office. You will work on real projects and gain exposure to the real estate development industry. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineers, planners, and surveyors.
- Work alongside licensed Landscape Architects and Professional Planners to gain experience for future certification.
- Design for industrial, data center, multifamily, and retail development platforms.
- Create site plans, master plans, preliminary grading, and detailed landscape designs.
- Build 3D visualizations and graphic presentations.
- Improve project design, entitlement, and permitting submittal documents.
- Learn to communicate designs effectively with municipalities and contractors.
- Research and report recommendations for creating functional spaces and revitalizing abandoned properties.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in landscape architecture, planning, real estate, or a related field.
- You enjoy problem-solving and tackling new design puzzles.
- You are motivated by working with a team to solve design issues.
- You have an interest in master planning, site-specific design, and detailed landscape work.
- You are eager to learn or expand your skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D, LandFX, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling software.
