About the role#
The General Custodian works with a team to maintain custodial services for a specific area of the North Central University campus. This is a part-time, paid position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, glass cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and straightening furniture.
- Remove trash and recycling from designated areas.
- Clean restrooms, shower rooms, and locker rooms.
- Stock custodial supplies such as soap and toilet paper.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces and areas experiencing increased infections.
- Assist with the setup and tear-down of special events on campus.
What you'll need#
- You must be a currently enrolled student at North Central University.
- Prior cleaning experience is helpful but not required.
- You must complete the specific Housekeeping Department interview questions on the student employment application.
Location & details#
- Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota (On-site).
- Work Schedule: Weekday shifts run Monday through Friday from 6pm to 9pm (15 hours per week). Weekend shifts run Saturday from 8am to 4:30pm and Sunday from 1:30pm to 5:30pm (12 hours per week).
