About the role#
This internship takes place within the SPACE Development and Engineering team, part of the Nike Innovation group. The team focuses on exploratory platforms and strategic products, often operating like a laboratory for new technology-infused designs and methods of make. You will work under the guidance of a Senior Innovation Lead to contribute to future-forward innovations in footwear, apparel, and experiences.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, researchers, and concept creators.
- Manage a specific summer project brief while supporting existing team programs.
- Present concepts to internal and external audiences to gather feedback and build alignment.
- Engage with peers to help shape the creative culture of the team.
- Ideate, develop, and implement prototypes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Master's program with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Pursuing a degree in engineering, product development, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of work experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and meet project deadlines.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to inspire others.
- Passion for athletes, innovation, and the future of sport.
