About the role#
The News Digital Media internship at KTVI/KPLR provides students with real-world experience in a local newsroom environment. This program is designed for students pursuing careers in broadcast journalism who need to earn college credit. Interns will work under supervision to participate in a meaningful learning experience during the Fall 2026 semester.
What you'll do#
- Gain practical experience within the News Digital Media department.
- Collaborate with reporters, photojournalists, and producers on various projects.
- Follow instructions from staff and participate in provided training.
- Maintain the confidentiality of company data, trade secrets, and business information.
- Adhere to all company safety rules and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a junior or senior studying broadcast journalism, video production, or related communication fields.
- Enrollment in a program that requires an internship for school credit.
- Advanced skill level to handle the complexity of assigned projects.
- Willingness to learn and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Previous internship experience is considered a plus.
