Strategic Partnerships Intern

About the role#

The Strategic Partnerships Intern will join the Don Hanson Internship Program, working alongside professionals to apply academic knowledge in a consulting environment. You will support the Business Development and Strategic Partnerships team by assisting with project execution, program development, and IgniteU initiatives. This role provides hands-on exposure to business development and partnership management under the guidance of an assigned mentor.

What you'll do#

• Use strategic thinking to plan and support various projects and initiatives.
• Research stakeholders and partners to identify needs and new opportunities.
• Coordinate projects by tracking tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
• Gain hands-on experience in program and partnership development.
• Participate in internal and client-facing meetings.
• Prepare reports and presentations while learning internal tools and methodologies.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and balance multiple tasks.
• High level of organization, attention to detail, and dependability.
• Eagerness to learn, ask questions, share ideas, and take initiative.
• Interest in building research and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with Teams and SharePoint is a plus.

Location & details#

• Location: Albany, New York.
• Term: Summer 2026 (May 18 – August 7).
• Modality: On-site, full-time during business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.).
• Compensation: $22 per hour for undergraduate students; $24 per hour for graduate students.
• Note: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
