Change Management and Learning Development Intern

About the role#

The Change Management and Learning Development Intern will join the NYSTEC Don Hanson Internship Program to apply academic knowledge in a professional consulting environment. Working alongside NYSTEC professionals and an assigned mentor, you will contribute to client projects while developing skills in business development, quality management, and analytical thinking.

What you'll do#

• Assist with stakeholder analysis and communication planning.
• Develop training tools and provide support for learning initiatives.
• Support project coordination tasks.
• Facilitate meetings and document key decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
• Participate in internal and client-facing meetings while preparing reports and presentations.
• Apply internal tools and processes while working with partners.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program with a concentration in change management, learning and development, organizational development, public administration, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage time effectively and collaborate within a team environment.
• Interest in organizational improvement, learning initiatives, and new technologies, such as instructional design software, accessibility tools, generative AI, and project management platforms.
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

Location & details#

• Location: Albany, New York.
• Term: Summer 2026 (May 18 – August 7).
• Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Normal business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.), with specific hours negotiable based on availability.
• Compensation: $22 per hour for undergraduate students; $24 per hour for graduate students.
