About the role#
NetJets is hiring an Aviation Safety Summer Intern to work at our headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is a paid, full-time internship running from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027. You will work 35-40 hours per week and participate in company events throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Maintain the integrity of confidential safety records, databases, and reporting systems.
- Contribute to safety promotion and employee engagement initiatives by creating newsletters and communication materials.
- Assist with the administration of the Safety Management System and Continuous Improvement programs.
- Support the investigation, documentation, and analysis of safety reports, incidents, and operational data.
- Help develop and track key performance indicators related to safety objectives.
- Assist with reviewing safety risk assessments.
- Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and metrics for leadership reviews.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and document key findings.
- Research industry safety initiatives, regulatory updates, and emerging operational trends.
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with Flight Operations, Maintenance, Flight Support, and Training departments.
- Perform special projects related to aviation safety and operational excellence.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program working toward a Bachelor's Degree in aviation.
- Sophomore-senior status.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook, including experience with spreadsheets, tracking, and data analysis.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
- A task-oriented, organized, and self-motivated work ethic.
- Experience with internet research.
- Ability to build professional relationships.
