About the role#
Nelnet Business Solutions is seeking an Accounting Intern to support a variety of financial, accounting, and system-related tasks. This role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience through mentorship and exposure to core business operations.
What you'll do#
- Provide financial analysis assistance, including month-end close and ad hoc requests.
- Handle clerical accounting duties such as lockbox, cash deposits, and reviewing credit card chargebacks.
- Support the implementation of a new company-wide financial tool.
- Assist with accounts receivable and customer billing processes.
- Complete special projects as assigned by management.
What you'll need#
- Currently working towards a degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Relevant work experience in Finance or Accounting departments.
- Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to learn new processes.
