About the role#
NCS Engineers is hiring an Engineering Intern for our Willis, Texas office. This part-time position focuses on water plant projects. You will perform routine engineering tasks under the direct supervision of a senior engineer to develop your professional skills. This role is paid at $15 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Support the engineering department with daily tasks.
- Assist senior electrical engineers with ongoing projects.
- Identify areas for product improvement and help develop solutions.
- Perform other engineering duties as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- You are a high school senior seeking hands-on experience.
- You have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites.
- You possess strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare detailed reports.
- You have reliable transportation to drive to work.
- You are comfortable sitting at a desk for long periods and can lift up to 15 pounds.
- You are able to travel to job sites to collect data.
- Preferred skills include experience with AutoCAD or power systems software like ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or Easy Power.
Location & details#
- Location: Willis, Texas.
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
- Work modality: On-site.
- This position is part-time and not eligible for benefits.
