About the role#
The Strategic Operations Analyst Intern supports New Business and Underwriting initiatives by turning operational, BPO, and vendor data into business insights. You will help leadership understand resource utilization, performance trends, and areas requiring process adjustments. This role focuses on analyzing workflow performance, service-level results, and vendor execution to improve operational consistency.
What you'll do#
- Analyze operational performance across New Business and Underwriting departments.
- Identify performance trends and changes on a week-over-week, month-over-month, and year-over-year basis.
- Evaluate BPO productivity, quality, SLA adherence, and workload ownership to quantify operational value.
- Monitor vendor performance by reviewing metrics like turnaround time, accuracy, and utilization.
- Create dashboards and reports to present complex data to operational and senior leadership.
- Partner with department leaders to investigate performance gaps and provide recommendations for process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Statistics, Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional partners.

- Term: Summer 2027 (10-week program).
