About the role#
The National Life Group internship program provides undergraduate students with real workplace experience and career-relevant work. This is a full-time, paid role for Summer 2027. You will join the Digital Marketing team to support social media content strategy, graphic design, and video creation. You will work on active campaigns and contribute to the brand presence across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
What you'll do#
- Design social media graphics and visual assets using Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
- Create content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, including short-form video, motion graphics, and carousels.
- Translate campaign concepts and business priorities into social-first creative.
- Apply brand standards consistently across all visual content.
- Collaborate with designers, writers, and subject matter experts across the organization to develop content.
- Brainstorm creative concepts, copy ideas, and visual directions.
- Stay updated on social media trends, platform updates, and audience behaviors.
- Respond to incoming social media requests and participate in creative reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program for Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Advertising, or a related field.
- Interest in digital marketing, social media, and visual storytelling.
- Experience with Canva and familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or other Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Understanding of how content and audiences differ across social platforms.
- Strong visual instincts, including an eye for typography, composition, and imagery.
- Interest in short-form video creation and editing.
- Ability to take direction, incorporate feedback, and manage multiple projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Location & details#
- Locations: Addison, Texas or Montpelier, Vermont.
- Work Modality: This is an on-site position. You are expected to be in the office four days per week, typically Monday through Thursday.
- Term: Summer 2027.
