About the role#
The Digital & AI Experience Intern will join the Operations team to solve real business problems using AI-assisted tools. You will work with various teams to identify user needs, frame problems, and turn concepts into practical solutions. Throughout the summer, you will gain hands-on experience in discovery, experimentation, and project delivery while receiving coaching from the Digital Experience team.
What you'll do#
- Partner with Operations teams to identify business problems and opportunities for AI solutions.
- Conduct stakeholder and user discovery to understand workflows and pain points.
- Develop and validate clear problem statements before recommending solutions.
- Build, test, and refine AI-assisted tools using approved internal platforms.
- Gather user feedback and iterate on solutions based on real-world use.
- Track solution adoption and identify areas for improvement.
- Create simple user guides and transition completed projects to business owners.
- Challenge requests when the proposed solution does not address the underlying problem.
- Participate in team standups, planning, and working sessions.
- Prepare and present an end-of-summer summary of your delivered solutions, outcomes, and lessons learned.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an anticipated graduation in 2028.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different teams and functions.
- Curiosity, learning agility, and an interest in emerging technology.
- Ability to organize work, manage multiple priorities, and follow through on commitments.
- Comfort with receiving feedback, testing new ideas, and adjusting your approach.
- Coursework or experience in business, technology, information systems, data analytics, computer science, product management, or operations.
- Exposure to generative AI tools, prompt development, low-code/no-code tools, or digital product development.
- Experience conducting research, gathering user feedback, or working on team-based projects.
- Experience presenting findings or recommendations to a group.
Location & details#
- Locations: Addison, TX or Montpelier, VT.
- Work Modality: On-site (four days per week, Monday through Thursday).
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 1 to August 6).
- Compensation: Paid internship ($19 - $28 per hour).
