About the role#
The Corporate Tax Intern will join the Corporate Tax team to gain hands-on experience in tax compliance, income tax provision, and research. This role offers exposure to the corporate tax function while working alongside experienced tax professionals and cross-functional teams. You will participate in recurring tax engagements and support tax systems, audits, advisory activities, and process improvement projects.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the quarterly income tax provision process to support the financial close.
- Support quarterly and annual federal and state income tax compliance.
- Conduct tax research and assist with tax advisory and planning activities.
- Assist with process improvements and updates to tax schedules, workpapers, and templates.
- Support tax ledger system testing, validation, and related tax process activities.
- Assist with tax audits and information requests.
- Collaborate on cross-department projects and participate in team training.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Proficiency in Excel workbooks and data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong critical and skeptical thinking skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid Summer 2027 internship.
- The role is based on-site in Addison, Texas, or Montpelier, Vermont.
- Expectation to be in the office four days per week, Monday through Thursday.
