About the role#
The 2027 NBA Summer Internship is a 10-week program running from June 7 to August 13, 2027. This program offers participants the chance to learn about the business of basketball and contribute to projects across departments in the NBA, WNBA, and G League. You will work in areas such as Finance, Human Resources, Facilities, and Social Responsibility. Interns are invited to participate in professional development programming alongside their daily responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Support domestic and international strategy for your assigned department.
- Provide data-based analysis to track objectives and key metrics.
- Assist with event management for marquee events.
- Co-manage staff or community-facing initiatives.
- Identify content and social platform enhancements.
- Develop department resources like company toolkits.
- Conduct field research on industry competitors.
- Create company-wide communications for business updates.
- Support employee-facing training and special projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate program, entering your Senior year in the 2027-2028 academic year.
- Excellent academic standing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills through extracurricular or community activities.
- Experience in department-related fields.
- Proven project management and event planning experience.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain high attention to detail.
- Experience leading people and groups.
- Skills in narrative-building, storytelling, and social media engagement.
- Strong research and analytical abilities.
- Foundational mastery of AI technologies.
- Relevant majors include Accounting, Business Administration, Communications, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Psychology, or Sociology.
