About the role#
MVB Bank is looking for an Audit Intern to support our finance and financial reporting teams. This role offers the chance to gain real-world experience in auditing while working on special projects. You will work alongside team members and leaders in the field and participate in company meetings.
What you'll do#
- Lead designated Audit and SOX-related projects, including research, solution proposals, and final presentations.
- Support the internal audit department with day-to-day tasks.
- Suggest improvements to management for internal processes and services.
- Learn and use internal software systems.
- Build an understanding of the company business model, goals, and customers.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior or Senior undergraduate status with a focus in Accounting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and solid organizational habits.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Comfort working in a team-oriented environment.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, part-time internship.
- The role is remote. Candidates must reside in one of the following states: West Virginia, Virginia, Texas, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington D.C., New York, New Jersey, Arkansas, Alabama, Arizona, Delaware, Indiana, North Carolina, or Georgia.
- The term is rolling.
