About the role#
The Pharmaceutical Operations internship is a 12-week program within the Pharmaceutical Sciences and Device Development organization. You will work within a team environment to solve challenges in formulation development, manufacturing, and the clinical supply chain. This role provides exposure to the drug development process while you work alongside an experienced industry scientist on a specific research project.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with team members on formulation development and manufacturing tasks.
- Support clinical supply chain activities.
- Participate in project team and departmental meetings.
- Present your research findings in both written and oral formats.
- Engage in process engineering for oral solid dosage products or injectable clinical supplies.
- Assist with design engineering for process equipment and utility systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate (sophomore, junior, or senior) or graduate student (Masters or PhD) in Chemistry, Engineering, Pharmaceutics, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate study by June 2027.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Basic laboratory skills and research experience, such as safe lab practices and analytical techniques.
- Familiarity with analytic tools and programming software like MATLAB, Python, or Aspen.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work in multi-functional environments.
- A significant interest in pharmaceutical sciences and clinical supplies.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is on-site at either Rahway, New Jersey, or West Point, Pennsylvania.
- This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
