About the role#
MSD is seeking interns for the Health Economics and Data Sciences (HEDS) team. This role is part of the Biostatistics and Research and Decision Sciences department. The internship lasts 10-12 weeks and involves projects that support economic assessments for health technology submissions. You will work with various levels of the organization to contribute to health economic development.
What you'll do#
- Support the HEDS team by conducting quality assurance tests for cost-effectiveness and budget impact models.
- Standardize, review, and collect data to support economic models.
- Build tools that improve quality assurance, quality planning, and submission readiness.
- Assist with benchmarking activities for deliverables.
- Create a capstone presentation to summarize your internship activities and project results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master's or PhD program in a science-related discipline, such as Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, Economics, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Knowledge and experience in the economic evaluation of medical interventions.
- Hands-on experience in the design, development, and dissemination of health economic models.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and solve problems.
- Strong communication skills for an international environment, along with leadership and teamwork capabilities.
- Ability to interact effectively with specialists and management.

- Locations: West Point, Pennsylvania or Rahway, New Jersey.
- Term: Summer 2027 (10-12 weeks, starting in May or June).
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
