About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will join our Prelaunch program, a three-month development journey designed to build the foundation for your career in civil engineering. You will work alongside project managers, consultants, and subject matter experts to gain hands-on experience and mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Design engineering solutions and refine technical documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor progress.
- Analyze reports and technical specifications.
- Join project and client meetings to understand management processes.
- Use digital tools to drive sustainable project outcomes.
- Build professional connections through our Early Career Professionals Network.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A demonstrated interest in the field through internships, volunteer work, or organization memberships.
- A methodical and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- A resilient, solution-oriented mindset.
- The ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
- A collaborative spirit and commitment to teamwork.

Location & details#
- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week in the office to support face-to-face collaboration.
