About the role#
The Maryville Administrative Intern will gain insight into organizational operations by working directly with department managers and directors. This role focuses on professional development, offering opportunities to shadow various office positions, attend company functions, and interact with executives and officers. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Perform clerical duties including taking memos, maintaining files, and organizing documents.
- Manage databases, input records, and update company calendars.
- Assist in preparing information and research materials.
- Type documents, drafts, and reports, and create PowerPoint presentations.
- Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, and provide basic company information.
- Respond to web correspondence, social media posts, and emails.
- Set up and maintain conference, training, and meeting rooms.
- Research and gather documentation regarding the company position in the industry.
- Shadow office staff and train in a variety of administrative tasks.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma required.
- Currently enrolled as a college junior or senior preferred.
- Proficiency in computer use and software including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to perform basic math and process information accurately.
- Ability to travel between various system facilities and off-site locations as needed.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Communications, Health Administration, and Public Health.
