About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based in Saint Joseph, Missouri. You will gain experience in retail operations by supporting the daily functions of the gift shop. This role requires on-site attendance and the ability to travel between system facilities as needed.
What you'll do#
- Plan and build merchandising displays to improve the customer experience.
- Analyze sales data to help improve inventory flow.
- Unpack shipments and restock merchandise on the sales floor.
- Keep the storeroom and sales floor clean and organized.
- Deliver flowers, cards, and other items to patient rooms.
- Use office equipment including computers, calculators, and phones to process information.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma is required. Current junior or senior college students studying Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Logistics are preferred.
- Proficiency with computer software, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to perform basic math functions and handle multiple projects at once.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers in person and over the phone.
- A valid way to travel between various system facilities and off-site locations.
