About the role#
As a Safety Engineering Intern, you will work on-site with project teams to maintain safety standards across our construction projects. This internship runs during the summer of 2027. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting field operations and collaborating with subcontractors and partners.
What you'll do#
- Support our zero injury safety requirements.
- Participate in daily safety audits.
- Assist with incident investigation and analysis.
- Help with the new team member orientation process.
- Collaborate on ways to improve our safety program.
- Coordinate worker observations and host daily stretch and bend sessions.
- Provide technical support regarding OSHA, MSDS, and event management.
- Complete and assist with training for the onsite safety program.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in safety, occupational health, environmental engineering, business administration, public health, or a related field.
- A current driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Comfort working in environments with exposure to dirt, heat, noise, and dust, including time spent in a trailer office.
- Willingness to be mobile or relocate.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- A basic understanding of construction and business practices.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located in the United States.
- Hourly wages start at $18, with potential for higher pay based on your year in school.
- You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, as visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
