About the role#
MORSE Corp is looking for a Security Compliance Co-op to join our team in Cambridge. You will work on testing systems for compliance with standards like NIST 800-37 and NIST 800-53. This role involves designing security procedures and helping maintain our physical security controls. You will support personnel security tasks, such as managing classified visit requests.
What you'll do#
- Create procedures for security controls, including configuration management, identity and authentication, and incident response.
- Assist with system auditing, vulnerability scanning, and incident response tasks.
- Analyze security controls to determine organizational and system compliance.
- Submit classified visit and clearance requests.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve security and compliance.
What you'll need#
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- Current enrollment in a BS or BA program in Cybersecurity, Criminal Justice, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Skill in writing clear, concise technical documents.
- Understanding of common IT architectures and operating systems.
