About the role#
MORSE Corp is looking for a Cloud Software Engineer Co-op to join our team in Cambridge. You will work on software applications that help our customers manage large data sets, plan missions, and evaluate AI performance. This role involves building cloud infrastructure and deploying software at scale.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop reliable software applications using Python.
- Maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure.
- Manage the deployment of cloud services while ensuring security compliance.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and pair programming.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and deploy software products.
- Write code that emphasizes modularity and maintainability.
- Keep up with current software engineering tools and trends.
What you'll need#
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- Current enrollment in a BS or BA program for Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Python and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of relational databases and version control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar container tools.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and microservice architecture.
- Experience with Terraform or Cloud Formation is a plus.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
- The role is full-time and follows a rolling term schedule.
- Compensation is $28 to $33 per hour.
