About the role#
The Embedded Design Engineering team is looking for an intern to join the Space and Defense Group for the Fall 2026 term. This is a part-time position based on-site in Blacksburg, Virginia. You will work alongside engineers to support technical projects and contribute to team goals.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the preparation and execution of engineering tasks.
- Provide technical support to the engineering team.
- Gain experience in areas such as conceptual design, detail design, testing, or analysis.
- Offer input on project processes, strategies, and execution.
- Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Represent the company in a professional manner.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to relocate to Blacksburg for the duration of the internship.
- Professional disposition with effective communication skills.
- A strong desire to learn and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Access to U.S. export-controlled information is required for this role.
