About the role#
Moody's is hiring Data Analyst Interns to join the Cloud and Network Infrastructure team. You will work within the Technology Services Group to ensure data integrity across infrastructure systems. Depending on team needs, you may focus on areas such as process engineering, infrastructure operations, vulnerability management, or cloud engineering. This role involves working with tools like DataMart, NetBox, ServiceNow, and LogicMonitor to manage and analyze infrastructure assets.
What you'll do#
- Support data integrity across Cloud and Network Infrastructure by documenting structures and mapping data feeds.
- Publish data schemas, field definitions, and relationship documentation for infrastructure assets.
- Map how data moves between systems and perform reconciliation to resolve discrepancies.
- Collect, clean, and analyze asset data to identify and fix quality issues.
- Build and maintain dashboards to track metrics such as system performance, vulnerabilities, and costs.
- Partner with team members to gather reporting requirements and translate data into insights.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Create or update standards and procedures documentation for data processes.
- Support ad hoc data requests and special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in a STEM field, such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
- Working knowledge of SQL or another query language.
- Familiarity with data visualization or business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and a basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Exposure to IT asset management or configuration management database (CMDB) tools is preferred.
- General understanding of cloud computing or network infrastructure concepts is preferred.
