About the role#
The Cybersecurity Intern joins our Information Security team to focus on Identity and Access Management (IAM). You will work directly with cybersecurity professionals on tasks involving identity governance, privileged access, authentication, and cloud identity. This role offers hands-on experience applying security concepts within a healthcare environment.
What you'll do#
- Support IAM activities such as user access, access reviews, and provisioning.
- Assist with initiatives for PAM, CIAM, cloud identity, and security automation.
- Analyze security data to help identify risks, gaps, and process improvements.
- Help with cybersecurity documentation, reporting, testing, and various project activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program as a freshman or sophomore.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity, authentication, authorization, and access control.
- Ability to commit to a full-time, 10-week internship.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle confidential information and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
- Coursework, projects, or certifications in cybersecurity are preferred.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID/Azure, cloud technologies, or scripting is a plus.
