About the role#
Mohawk Global is hiring a Supply Chain Operations Intern for our Edison, New Jersey office. This position is for Summer 2027. You will support our logistics and freight forwarding operations by managing documentation, tracking shipments, and working with our carriers.
What you'll do#
- Assist with import operations, including opening shipment files and auditing documentation.
- Match freight loads with available carrier options.
- Track shipments and perform data entry and analysis to support team decisions.
- Communicate with carriers and agents to build partnerships and sell company services.
- Negotiate pricing and prepare quotes for clients.
- Conduct industry research and participate in meetings to learn company processes.
- Collaborate with team members to meet departmental goals.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising undergraduate student majoring in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and receptiveness to professional feedback.
- Experience in negotiating with service providers and problem solving is preferred.
