About the role#
MNP is hiring Summer Students for the Assurance and Accounting team for the summer of 2027. You will work on-site at one of our Manitoba locations. This is a full-time, paid position designed for students looking to gain practical experience in accounting and business advisory services.
What you'll do#
- Build technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping, and tax.
- Set up files for new clients and businesses while managing multiple projects at once.
- Conduct inventory counts and perform walk-throughs for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and capital assets.
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Create correspondence, technical reports, and client presentations to summarize engagement findings.
- Collaborate with engagement teams and maintain professional relationships with clients.
What you'll need#
- You are working toward a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration with a focus on accounting or finance.
- You are completing the prerequisites for the CPA Professional Education Program.
- Previous office experience, customer service roles, or familiarity with accounting and tax software are assets for this role.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Brandon, Dauphin, Deloraine-Winchester, Neepawa, Notre Dame de Lourdes, Portage la Prairie, Swan River, or Virden, Manitoba.
- The term for this internship is Summer 2027.
