About the role#
MNP is seeking a Co-op student to join the Assurance and Accounting team in Prince George. This position runs from January 2027 through August 2027. You will work directly with a team of professionals to provide financial information and advisory services to clients.
What you'll do#
- Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping, and tax.
- Perform accounts receivable, accounts payable, and capital asset acquisition and disposition tasks.
- Summarize financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Review, investigate, and correct discrepancies or irregularities in financial entries.
- Prepare correspondence, technical reports, client summaries, and presentations to outline engagement findings.
- Apply knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and ASPE standards while managing multiple client files.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration, with a preference for accounting or finance majors.
- Progress toward prerequisites for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).
- Previous accounting office experience is an asset.
- Experience in customer or client service is an asset.
- Familiarity with accounting and tax software is an asset.

- Compensation: Paid position with an annual salary range of $47,000 to $49,000.
