About the role#
MNP is seeking a Co-op Student for the Assurance and Accounting team in Vernon, British Columbia. This full-time position runs from January 2028 through August 2028. You will work on-site to provide financial information and advisory services to clients.
What you'll do#
- Build technical skills in audits, reviews, compilations, bookkeeping, and tax.
- Conduct walk-throughs with clients regarding accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and capital asset transactions.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports to summarize client status.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial documents and entries.
- Identify and contribute new ideas to improve internal work processes.
- Apply knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and ASPE standards to client engagements.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration or commerce, with a preference for accounting or finance majors.
- Progressing toward the prerequisites required for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).
- Previous office experience in an accounting environment is considered an asset.
- Experience in customer or client service is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with tax and accounting software is considered an asset.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with an annual salary range of $42,000 to $46,000.
