About the role#
MNP is hiring a Co-op Accountant for the Assurance and Accounting team in Kingston, Ontario. This is a paid, full-time position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site to provide financial information and advisory services to our clients.
What you'll do#
- Build technical skills in audits, reviews, compilations, bookkeeping, and tax.
- Perform walk-throughs with clients regarding accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and capital asset transactions.
- Prepare technical reports, client summaries, presentations, and correspondence to outline engagement findings.
- Collaborate with your engagement team and build professional relationships with client contacts.
- Travel to client sites when necessary.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward or have completed a bachelor degree in business administration or commerce, preferably with a major in accounting or finance.
- You have completed or are working toward the prerequisites required for the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).
- Previous office experience in an accounting role is helpful.
- Experience with tax or accounting software is an asset.
- A background in client or customer service is considered an asset.
