About the role#
Missouri River Energy Services is hiring an intern for our Generation department. You will work on projects involving our generation facilities, including combustion turbines, reciprocating engines, solar, battery storage, wind, and hydroelectric turbines. This is a full-time position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research and field work at generation sites.
- Update AutoCAD drawings.
- Perform data entry tasks.
- Assist with project management and asset management documentation.
- Perform light lifting or climbing during site visits, while working in various temperature and noise conditions.
What you'll need#
- Demonstrated CAD drafting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A desire to pursue a career in the energy industry.
- A high school diploma and be at least 18 years old.
- Enrollment or plans to enroll in college or vocational-technical training.

- Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2027 (mid-May through mid-August).
- This is a paid internship.
