About the role#
As the Player Operations and Softball Clubhouse Manager, you will support ballpark operations and the player personnel team. This role serves as a focal point for the softball club, ensuring the clubhouse remains a functional and welcoming environment for players, coaches, and league officials. You will work closely with the operations department to manage team needs and assist with the Minot Hot Tots baseball operations. This internship runs from May 10, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Manage equipment and uniform inventory, including distribution and record-keeping.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the clubhouse, locker rooms, laundry facilities, and dugouts.
- Serve as the primary umpire liaison, handling hotel arrangements, meal vouchers, and post-game meals.
- Process team laundry for home and visiting squads.
- Coordinate the distribution and cleanup of post-game meals.
- Assist with ballpark set-up and tear-down for games and events.
- Distribute marketing materials throughout the community.
- Perform as the team mascot at least once during the summer.
- Support general ballpark cleanliness and operations during homestands.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant academic field such as Sport Management, Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or Marketing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Sheets.
- Strong verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- A self-motivated approach with the ability to take initiative.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs.
Location & details#
- Location: Minot, North Dakota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Expected to work all home games and team events, including weekends and holidays. Shifts may extend up to 14 hours. Non-game days typically involve office hours from 9 AM to 5 PM.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship with a $500 monthly stipend. Housing is available upon request, with the intern responsible for utilities. College credit may be available.
