About the role#
The Minot Hot Tots and Honeybees are hiring a Broadcast Camera Director & Video Creation intern for the 2027 season in Minot, North Dakota. You will work on-site to lead the broadcast production for 36 Hot Tots and 21 Honeybees home games. This role involves both technical broadcast work and general team operations.
What you'll do#
- Lead the broadcast team as the Camera Director by switching shots and directing camera operators.
- Coordinate with the Technical PC Director and Broadcaster to ensure a consistent broadcast.
- Set up and take down broadcast equipment for every home game.
- Produce graphic and video content for the video board and social media channels.
- Manage video board equipment and handle photo editing, uploading, and labeling.
- Maintain broadcast equipment to ensure proper care.
- Assist with ballpark operations, including set-up and tear-down of the facility and the Family Fun Zone.
- Distribute marketing materials like pocket schedules and posters.
- Interact with fans to support a positive experience at the ballpark.
- Represent the team at community events and mascot appearances, including performing as the mascot at least once.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the ballpark.
What you'll need#
- Current student in a relevant field such as Communications, Marketing, or Journalism.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and managing social media accounts.
- Previous experience in live sports production is preferred.
- Ability to work long shifts, sometimes reaching 14 hours.
- Capacity to lift 30-50 lbs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and take initiative as a self-motivated team player.

- Location: Minot, North Dakota.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 10th to August 13th).
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
- Housing is available upon request, with the intern responsible for utilities.
- College credit may be available through your academic institution.
