About the role#
The On-Field Host Internship offers current college students an immersive experience in sports entertainment and marketing. You will support the Minot Hot Tots and Minot Honeybees by creating a memorable atmosphere for fans and the community. This role focuses on sponsorship activation, event management, and live entertainment.
What you'll do#
- Plan and execute game day entertainment, including on-field games, skits, and music.
- Act as the lead on-field entertainer and serve as an in-game character or actor.
- Schedule game day guests, such as playball kids, National Anthem singers, and first pitches.
- Manage game day timelines for mascots, umpires, players, and the entertainment team.
- Maintain and inventory entertainment materials, costumes, and mascot gear.
- Assist with the setup and tear-down of the Family Fun Zone and general ballpark areas.
- Represent the team at sponsor promotions, community events, and appearances.
- Perform as the team mascot at least once during the season.
- Help with marketing tasks, including distributing pocket schedules and promotional materials.
- Update the master entertainment calendar and attend weekly planning meetings.
- Ensure fans are signed up for activities and that all necessary waivers are completed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program, such as Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
- An extremely outgoing, charismatic, and personable nature.
- Confidence performing in front of an audience and on camera.
- Ability to maintain character and perform well under stress.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
- A creative mindset and the ability to think outside the box.
- A positive, self-motivated, and collaborative team-player attitude.
- Commitment to the company core values of being experience-obsessed, positive, innovative, and community-focused.
Location & details#
- Location: Minot, North Dakota.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 10 to August 13).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Includes all home games, weekends, holidays, and select outside events. Office hours are 9 AM to 5 PM on non-game weekdays.
- Compensation: Paid position with housing provided.
