About the role#
As an Entertainment intern, you will help plan and execute game day activities to create a memorable atmosphere for fans and the community. You will work closely with the sponsorship and entertainment teams to support promotions, events, and in-game elements. This role requires active participation on the field and in the office to ensure the success of Minot Hot Tots and Minot Honeybees games.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Entertainment Director with planning in-game shows, theme nights, and weekly entertainment meetings.
- Research and implement on-field games, skits, music, and theme elements.
- Manage contestant sign-ups, waivers, and scheduling for game day guests like singers and first pitch participants.
- Maintain the master entertainment calendar and all related materials, including mascot care and costume maintenance.
- Serve as an in-game character and perform as the mascot at least once during the summer.
- Execute on-field, mid-inning promotions and manage fan engagement activities.
- Set up and tear down the Family Fun Zone, promotional areas, and guest service tables.
- Represent the team at community events, player appearances, and mascot appearances.
- Distribute marketing materials and assist with general ballpark setup, cleanup, and maintenance.
- Inventory game day entertainment and sponsor supplies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a relevant field of study such as Marketing, Communications, or related disciplines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to think creatively and manage time effectively in a busy environment.
- An outgoing, charismatic personality with the confidence to perform on camera and in front of an audience.
- Ability to remain professional and maintain character under pressure.
- A self-motivated, team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
- Leadership skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
Location & details#
- Location: Minot, North Dakota.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 10 to August 13).
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: Paid internship with a $500 monthly stipend.
- Housing: Available upon request (intern is responsible for utilities).
