About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work on a process improvement project within a manufacturing environment. You will report to a Senior Process Engineer or a Process Improvement Manager. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
What you'll do#
- Manage a manufacturing project to drive results.
- Use continuous improvement techniques to determine solutions.
- Identify creative approaches to solve problems.
- Communicate effectively with individuals and groups.
- Work with a diverse team to implement project improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior in a BS degree program.
- Major in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to start work on or before May 20th.
- Availability to attend the Summer Challenge Forum in Spartanburg, SC, in June.
- Availability for a final presentation review in Spartanburg, SC, in August.
