About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Carmel, Indiana for the summer of 2027. You will work on-site to build and improve automation for computer systems that support critical operations. This role focuses on replacing manual processes with consistent, secure, and automated workflows.
What you'll do#
- Build and improve automation to create, configure, and secure computer systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues alongside engineers and implement fixes for system reliability.
- Use tools such as Ansible, Python, GitHub Actions, and Packer to streamline deployment.
- Participate in community service, intern socials, and professional development programming.
- Deliver a final presentation summarizing your project work, recommendations, and impact.
What you'll need#
- You are pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering.
- Coursework or experience in operating systems, IT infrastructure, and systems administration.
- Proficiency or a strong willingness to learn Python, Windows/Unix administration, Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Ansible, and Packer.
- Hands-on experience with Windows or Linux systems, scripting, and version control.
- A curious, collaborative, and mission-driven approach to technical challenges.
