About the role#
As a Process Development Engineering Intern, you will work within a research and development environment to gain hands-on experience in semiconductor process development. You will work on a dedicated technical project under the mentorship of experienced engineers, collaborating across teams to solve complex challenges. The internship concludes with a formal presentation of your project results to technical and leadership audiences.
What you'll do#
- Develop and optimize semiconductor processes that meet physical and electrical performance requirements for memory products.
- Partner with multi-functional process and equipment engineering teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Perform root-cause analysis and failure-mode analysis to identify process limitations.
- Conduct fundamental research to support next-generation memory technologies.
- Analyze pilot manufacturing and technology development data using statistical methods and AI-enabled analytical tools.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Must be enrolled as a student and not graduate before September 2027.
- Demonstrated experience with experimental design, data analysis, and scientific or engineering research methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience applying artificial intelligence, leveraging AI, or data science techniques to analyze data.
