About the role#
As a Government and Public Affairs Intern, you will support the U.S. based Government & Public Affairs team. You will monitor political and policy developments, gather intelligence, and conduct analysis on issues that affect Micron. This work helps the company navigate and shape federal legislative systems. You will focus on areas such as technology, industrial policy, manufacturing, trade, and foreign relations.
What you'll do#
- Work with the Global Policy & Business Partnership team on research, projects, and events.
- Assess policy and regulatory risks and opportunities.
- Conduct research and policy analyses to help form official responses to government and trade groups.
- Develop and execute strategies to engage government officials, regulators, and opinion leaders.
- Prepare briefing and presentation materials for executive-level meetings.
- Use AI-enabled tools to analyze trends and summarize information.
- Validate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, relevance, and compliance.
- Travel to Micron sites as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in business, political science, communications, or a related field.
- Graduation date no earlier than May 2027.
- Understanding of national politics and government processes.
- Strong organization and collaboration skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with government officials, internal colleagues, and industry partners.
- Initiative to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Experience with Copilot and other AI tools.
- Previous corporate internship experience is preferred.

- This role is based in Washington, District of Columbia.
- This is a full-time, on-site position.
- The internship is paid.
