About the role#
Michelin is offering Summer 2027 internships at our Spartanburg, South Carolina facility. These positions are full-time and require on-site attendance. Interns will work within an industrial plant environment on the day shift.
What you'll do#
- Learn the tire manufacturing process.
- Identify ways to reduce defect rates in production.
- Analyze data to find correlations between tire defects and upstream variables.
- Create, evaluate, and propose solutions based on cost, effectiveness, and reliability.
- Assist in the implementation of these solutions and verify the results.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment at an accredited four-year college or university.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- A major in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Computer, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Hard Sciences, or Materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work on-site in an industrial plant environment on the day shift.
- Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
