About the role#
We are looking for a Structural Intern to join our team in Waltham, Massachusetts for the Summer 2027 term. You will work under close supervision to support our structural engineering team on vertical building projects. This is a paid, part-time position.
What you'll do#
- Assist structural engineers with engineering analysis, design drawings, and project details.
- Review shop drawings for construction projects.
- Perform construction administration tasks within the office.
What you'll need#
- You must have completed at least 3 years of study toward a Bachelor degree in Architecture, Civil, or Structural Engineering at an ABET accredited school.
- A minimum 3.0 overall GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- A basic understanding of designing structural steel, concrete, and masonry components.
- Proficiency in the latest versions of MS Office.
- Experience with Enercalc, RAM, ETABS, RISA, or STAAD is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Revit is a plus.
- Candidates should have a focus on building structures.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Waltham, MA.
- The work is on-site or hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
- Compensation is between $18 and $30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
