About the role#
Michael Baker International is hiring a Structural Intern for Summer 2027 in Moon Township, Pennsylvania. You will work under supervision to assist structural engineers with engineering analysis, design drawings, and details for building projects. The role also involves reviewing shop drawings and handling construction administration tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers with analysis and design drawings for vertical building projects.
- Review shop drawings for construction.
- Perform construction administration tasks.
What you'll need#
- You must have completed at least 3 years of a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil, or Structural Engineering at an ABET accredited institution.
- A minimum 3.0 overall GPA on a 4.0 scale is required.
- You should have a basic understanding of structural steel, concrete, and masonry design.
- Proficiency in the latest versions of MS Office.
- Experience with Enercalc, RAM, ETABS, RISA, or STAAD is preferred.
- Knowledge of Revit is a plus.
- We prefer candidates who focus on building structures.
Location & details#
- Location: Moon Township, Pennsylvania.
- Work Modality: Hybrid or on-site, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Compensation: $18 to $26 per hour.
- Employment Type: Part-time, paid internship.
