About the role#
Michael Baker International is looking for an IT Support Desk Intern to join the IT Support and Field Services team in Moon Township, Pennsylvania. You will work under general supervision to handle hardware assets and service requests. This is a part-time, on-site role that offers exposure to various internal systems and technologies.
What you'll do#
- Manage hardware assets, including decommissioning, imaging, and shipping.
- Assist with employee onboarding and off-boarding tasks.
- Build and customize devices for new hires and support refresh initiatives for current users.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printer, and scanner issues for on-site and remote users.
- Help the IT team optimize processes related to security, operations, and compliance.
- Document standard procedures and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate on special IT projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Completion of at least one year of college-level coursework.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in customer support.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work well both independently and in a team.
